Trapper John, M.D. is an American medical drama created by Richard Hooker for CBS. It ran from September 23, 1979 to September 4, 1986 for seven seasons.

Series summary Edit

Several years after leaving Korea, Dr John "Trapper" McIntyre (Pernell Roberts) has given up on fighting the system and become chief of surgery at San Francisco General Hospital. There he cares for patients alongside colleagues like the young Dr "Gonzo" Gates (Gregory Harrison) and the pompous Stanley Riverside II (Charles Siebert).

Disputed parent Edit

Trapper John, MD was to be a spin-off of M*A*S*H, but legally the series is a spin-off of the film MASH.
