Third Watch is an American medical drama and police procedural series created by John Wells and Edward Allen Bernero for NBC. It ran from September 23, 1999 to May 6, 2005 for six seasons.

Series summary Edit

Third Watch looks at the lives of paramedics, police officers and firefighters operating within New York City's ficitonal 55th precinct, providing a glimpse into their lives and careers. All of their shifts fall between 3pm and 11pm, the 'third watch' in the rota system.

  • Dr Susan Lewis went looking for her missing sister in New York in a two-part story that began in ER "Brothers and Sisters" and concluded in Third Watch "Unleashed". Dr. Susan Lewis appeared in "Unleashed".
  • A crossover story involving an outbreak of a dangerous disease began in Third Watch "In the Family Way" and concluded in Medical Investigation "Half Life". Doctors Stephen Connor and Natalie Durant appeared in "In the Family Way".
