Star Trek: Voyager was a US science-fiction show created by Rick Berman, Michael Piller and Jeri Taylor for UPN. It was a spin off of the 1960s series Star Trek and ran for seven seasons.
While on a mission to capture a ship piloted by members of the Maquis, a rebel force that has broken away from Starfleet, Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) and her crew find themselves transported 70,000 light years from home by a strange force. There, they find the Maquis ship and decide to work with them to make the seven-year-long journey home. Characters aboard the starship Voyager include a Vulcan, Tuvok (Tim Russ); Maquis first officer Chakotay (Robert Beltran); a hologram doctor (Robert Picardo) and, later, a member of the Borg collective, Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan).
