Series summary

Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) is an ordinary pre-teen kid living in the US whose school life is turned upside down when tests reveal that he is a genius. At home he has to put up with his sweet but dim (or possibly secretly calculating) younger brother, Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan); his bullying older brother, Reese (Justin Berfield); his overbearing mother Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) and his easily distracted, hapless father, Hal (Bryan Cranston). Malcolm's eldest brother, the rebellious Francis (Christopher Kennedy Masterson), spends the early seasons in military camp, then later a logging company in Alaska, and finally a Wild-West-themed hotel.
