- A bag of blue meth from this series appeared on The Walking Dead "Bloodletting", as well as the Arrow episode "Keep Your Enemies Closer".
- Gustavo Fring was mentioned in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt "Sliding Van Doors".
- In the episode "Head Cheese" of Weeds, Barry mentions having been at the Fresh Start drug rehab center in Albuquerque. This is the same fictional clinic Jesse Pinkman visits in the second season of this series.

- Red box Morley cigarettes, first smoked by Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210 and then by the Cigarette Smoking Man in The X-Files, can been seen in the pilot. They are also smoked by characters in several other shows: Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lois in Malcolm in the Middle, Warwick Brown in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Madeline Westen in Burn Notice. They appeared in Prison Break previously and Medium next.
- Fox Mulder from The X-Files is shown to use the fictional bank Cradock Marine in episodes “Monday”, “ The Amazing Maleeni” and “Surekill”. That bank was later featured in the Breaking Bad episode “Say My Name”.

Lariat Rent-A-Car, the fictional car rental company that appeared in Breaking Bad, is not the same Lariat company used by Mulder and Scully from The X-Files, Veronica Mars, and Supernatural.
