Criminal Minds is an American police procedural series created by Jeff Davis for CBS television. It is currently still in production.
Criminal profilers from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit investigate violent and unusual crimes, with episodes focusing largely on the criminals rather than the crimes themselves. The cast is large and frequently changes members; the current team includes unit chief Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), and special agents Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), Jennifer Jareau (AJ Cook) and Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler).
- Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior was a short-lived spin-off series starring Forest Whitacker as unit chief Sam Cooper. It was cancelled after one season.
- Morley cigarettes, smoked by the villainous Cancer Man in The X-Files, were an important clue in one Criminal Minds investigation; they are also smoked by characters in several other shows: Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lois in Malcolm in the Middle, Lt Matt Cavanaugh in Killer Instinct, Warwick Brown in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and characters in Jake 2.0, Special Unit 2 and Huff.
